A Charming & Rustic Wedding
Let’s meet our couple; Jenny, a journalist, and press photographer Chris, who have been married on 22 September 2018 in Perthshire. Jenny wore the gorgeous and romantic gown, combined with the slip underneath through the brilliant embellishment and dropped waist giving gorgeous vintage style combined with the lightest of tulle skirts.
“I tried lots of dresses on in a variety of shops but none felt very me. So when I was emailed in regards to a sample sale I put my name down immediately. The dress was the first I tried on. It was an ideal fit, was very comfortable, and I felt millions of dollars.”
Jenny wore shoes from and for jewelry, stud earrings, a bracelet, and earrings along with a glittering, era-inspired hairband All that remained was for any little perfume, and Jenny chose Oud and Bergamot from Jo Malone.
Chris wore a handsome Scottish tweed suit with cufflinks, that they wore had a fantastic set of vintage style brogues along with a pocket watch.
“We met at university in 2007 and started dating right before we graduated. We lived in various towns and cities for 8 years before moving to London together and freelance. Chris proposed on vacation in Wales, overlooking Druidstone Bay, and that we got married annually later.”
It was a remarkably touching and special moment for Jenny so that you can walk down the aisle together with her dad, and she or he chose a cracking song to create her entrance – God Only Knows by The Beach Boys.
“We found our vows on the internet and changed them just a little to suit us. We also chose to have a Lord from the Rings reading before we exchanged rings, Chris is a huge fan, also it caused lots of laughter!”
“I loved the ceremony, surprisingly! We were so nervous but it had been such a lovely experience saying our vows before our family and friends. I will always remember walking on the aisle with my father either, it had been such a special moment.”
Along using the spectacular flower garlands from florist Adelaide, Jenny and Chris added to the rustic beauty from the Byre with the addition of tealight chandeliers hired in the venue, too with plenty of twinkling fairy lights.
“Our cake was wow! We wanted a semi-naked style in keeping using the rustic theme, and we found a nearby supplier who did them. Lesley from The Occasional Cake company in St Andrews was this type of professional and that we got to sample the flavors.”
After the cake cutting, it had been time for dancing, and the band ensured everyone desired to be around the dancefloor.
“We wanted a band that will do ceilidh music along with a bit of pop/rock. Chris and I love our heavy rock plus they seemed to play songs that everyone within the wedding party loved! They had people dancing through the night, and there would be a saxophonist, that was fab.”
Words of Wedded Wisdom
“On your day, it’s impossible to provide every guest time they want, however, it’s nice to try and speak to as numerous guests as possible. We also were able to spend lots of time together. Give groomsmen a summary of timings for that day, and set one of them responsible for shepherding people.”
