Elegant Lavender Wedding Inspiration

They were captured at our highly recommended wedding venues, the utterly incomparable, and were photographed between lockdowns this past year.

“For this shoot, I decided to choose a very beautiful soft and minimal color pattern of white, pearl ivory, and different shades of lavender.”

“This is my experience represented the long rows of lavender within the fields that first inspired me. The physical construction from the centerpiece proved to become a little challenging, but nothing our clever florist couldn’t solve!”

“The bride wore pearl earrings and also the stone on her behalf ring is a Blue Chalcedony, which is a Quartz employed for its healing properties.”

“The wedding gown used in this shoot is a real bride’s dress that I had on loan from her. I feel a really special link with all the dresses that I make and indeed to my customers too.”

“It is so heartwarming and I am very humbled they agree. This particular showstopper dress has a long and dramatic train with ruffled tulle in pale blush pink. The bodice is extremely flatteringly fitted and it has beautiful corded lace and hand-sewn lace applique to include even more detail.”

“For the bridesmaids, I made two pale lavender bridesmaid dresses, and also the Maid of Honour wore a silk chiffon dress.”

“I chose to take inspiration for that cake design from Catharina’s exquisite lace designer dresses, developing a classic 4-tiered ivory-iced cake overlaid with intricate floral lace stenciling that I added sugar pearls to duplicate beading along with a touch of pearlescent luster, softening the appearance with a loosely tied, ivory silk ribbon.”

“As a botanical sugar flower artist, I was instantly attracted to the stunning floral moodboard developed by Fi of Corky & Prince, by liaising with Fi around the types of flowers she planned to make use of I was in a position to hand-craft sugar flowers to go with her fresh floral arrangements and bride’s bouquet.”

“Taking inspiration in the glorious lavender fields and artwork paintings, the stationery suite featured wisps of lovely calligraphy and hand-painted watercolor florals.”
